Meet your Guide: Trace Hargrove

Trace’s life has been anything but ordinary. Born into an environment marked by volatility, addiction, and constant upheaval, Trace learned early on that survival required adaptability and self-reliance. His childhood was a turbulent mix of instability and neglect, with little in the way of guidance or support. Yet, it was in these challenging circumstances that Trace’s thirst for knowledge began to take root.

At just nine years old, Trace taught himself to read—a pivotal moment that would set the stage for his lifelong journey of self-education. With no mentors or teachers to guide him, Trace dove into any book he could find, progressing from small picture books to college-level texts within a year. This self-driven quest for understanding became a cornerstone of his identity, fostering a deep curiosity about the world and a relentless drive to learn.

For much of his early life, Trace identified as an atheist, relying on logic and reason as his guiding principles. But everything changed at the age of 27 when he encountered string theory. This scientific concept, which explores the fundamental nature of reality, struck a chord deep within him. Suddenly, the universe seemed to be more than just a collection of atoms and molecules—it was a vast, interconnected web of consciousness. This realization sparked a profound spiritual awakening, leading Trace to embrace the belief in a universal consciousness and the animism of all things at an atomic level.

As Trace’s spiritual journey deepened, he began to see the importance of connecting mind, body, and spirit—a holistic approach that would become central to his philosophy. For him, it wasn’t enough to focus on just one aspect of existence; true growth and transformation required a balance of all three. This belief has allowed Trace to open his “third eye,” enabling him to see the world without judgment or preconceived biases—a perspective that he now brings into his work as a coach and guide.

But Trace’s journey hasn’t been without its struggles. In his younger years, he grappled with narcissism, using what he describes as “weapons of war” in his relationships, particularly with his first true love. This period of his life is marked by regret—a deep, lingering pain from the damage he caused to someone he genuinely loved. This regret became a catalyst for change, pushing Trace to confront his narcissism head-on.

However, it was the realization that he was going to become a father that truly catalyzed his transformation. The impending responsibility of raising children forced Trace to reflect on the kind of legacy he wanted to leave for them. He recognized the need to address the aspects of himself that he didn’t want to pass on to his children, particularly his lack of self-love and empathy. This awareness drove him to seek a deeper understanding of himself and to embark on a path of healing and spiritual growth.

He found his path to healing through Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and, interestingly, by inadvertently following the Eightfold Path before he even knew the terminology. His approach was self-taught, relying on testimonials, lectures, and rigorous study of consciousness. Through contemplation and meditation, Trace was able to overcome his narcissism, using empathy as a precise tool—much like a scalpel—to navigate the complexities of life and relationships.

Trace’s journey of growth and transformation is also marked by another profound regret—the decision to put down his beloved dog, Casper. After eight years together, Trace felt he had no choice but to euthanize Casper due to the dog’s anxiety and aggression, which had been shaped by the chaotic environment of Trace’s earlier life. This decision haunts him, as he wishes he had the patience and understanding he possesses now. This experience, like many others, has deepened his commitment to empathy, responsibility, and the well-being of those in his care.

Today, Trace is a Self Alignment Coach who combines his rich, self-taught knowledge with deep spiritual insights. He believes that thought, memory, and active intelligence are governed by emotions—a belief that aligns with his understanding of quantum biology and consciousness. This perspective allows him to guide clients through their own cognitive and spiritual evolution, helping them connect their mind, body, and spirit in a way that fosters true, lasting transformation.

Trace’s approach to coaching is deeply personal and holistic, grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity to evolve within their lifetime. He challenges the conventional views on mental health, advocating for healing through changes in environment and mindset rather than reliance on pharmaceuticals. For Trace, drugs are merely a temporary aid—a crutch to support the healing process, not a solution to live with a diagnosis indefinitely.

Through his work, Trace seeks to empower others to see the world as he does—without judgment, with a clear connection to all aspects of their being, and with the understanding that they, too, can transform their lives in profound ways. His journey from self-taught learner to spiritual guide is a testament to the power of resilience, introspection, and the unwavering belief that true growth comes from within.

In Trace, clients find not just a coach, but a guide who has walked the path of transformation himself, who understands the weight of regret and the power of redemption, and who is committed to helping others discover their own potential for greatness. His story is one of raw honesty, profound insight, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge—qualities that make him a uniquely powerful force in the world of personal and spiritual development.
